Nordwell+ came with a cut of the first episode and one note: the show is about a woman rereading her own life. We built the sequence out of ink dropped into a tank and shot from below at 500 frames a second, then ran every plate backwards so the bloom collapses instead of spreading. The type sets itself in the clear water the ink leaves behind. Shot over two days in a rented tank in Griffintown, graded cold, finished in 16:9 and a 9:16 cut for the platform's phone player.
